Those of you that are familiar with our Dick Lovett track days at Castle Combe Circuit, despite our owners having a lot of fun in their cars, you will often see the photos we post afterwards looking rather wet and miserable. This time we opted to have our first track day of the year moving into spring and we are so glad we did! The sun was beautifully shining all day across the circuit to enable our owners to really experience their cars at their full potential.
Here at Ferrari Swindon, we are local to the spectacular Castle Combe Circuit which means it’s only right that we plan two exciting track days there per year for our clients to enjoy. We hire exclusive use of the circuit for the whole day which enables are customers to really test their paces over the hours, running a pit lane of six cars with a generous 105db sound limit.
Because of the historic nature of Castle Combe, we feel it is incredibly beneficial to hire instructors from Thruxton circuit for the day to assist our customers in the activity, whether this be to further advance track driving skills or accompany those that are on their first track day. They are an asset to our day as it means we can provide road test drives on current range models. A lot of our clients were very excited to see the Ferrari Purosangue as a special guest at the circuit this time, in which we were able to offer road test drives with the instructors.
We typically invite along around 15-20 cars to enjoy the day with us, this is a great number as it means there’s not much ‘waiting time’ for clients in between sessions. However, we make sure to provide breakfast, lunch and all-day refreshments for our customers’ enjoyment whilst they are waiting to get back out on the track.
