A convoy of 10 cars visiting some of the most beautiful sceneries in France, Germany and Belgium.

Join us as we reflect on yet another unforgettable Dick Lovett tour – this time a convoy of 10 cars toured some of the most picturesque spots in Europe such as Reims and the Black Forest whilst travelling to spend the weekend in Spa for the final of the Ferrari Challenge UK series.

Day 1 – Reims, France

We started our tour by driving through Reims which was a delightful experience that immersed our clients into the heart of the Champagne region.

The scenic roads that wound through the lush vineyards created a picturesque backdrop, with neatly arranged vines extending as far as the eye could see. Reims is not only a place of historical significance, it is home of the Reims-Gueux Circuit, also known simply as the Reims Circuit, which we thought it would be fitting to pay a visit to.

This circuit holds a storied history in the world of motorsport, this iconic circuit was first established in 1926 on public roads. Over the decades, it became renowned for its high-speed straights and challenging corners, making it a favorite among racing enthusiasts.Though no longer used for Formula One, the Reims Circuit continues to be a place of pilgrimage for motorsport aficionados, a testament to its historical significance in the world of racing.

After an amazing day driving through Reims, our destination was The Royal Champagne Hotel, a luxurious haven nestled in the heart of the Champagne region. This exquisite five-star hotel offered an opulent retreat that captured the essence of French sophistication. Perched on a hill overlooking the vine-covered hills, the hotel offered breathtaking panoramic views of the Champagne countryside. With its chic, modern design, a Michelin-starred restaurant, and a world-class spa, it was the perfect sanctuary for our clients to relax and unwind after a long day of driving.

Day 2 – Black Forest, Germany

Most of our clients who attended the tour would agree that driving through the enchanting Black Forest in Germany was an experience like no other, the highlight of the whole trip. The winding roads lead us through dense, mystical forests, past charming half-timbered villages, and alongside rushing mountain streams.

As we navigated the picturesque landscape, the winding roads snaked through the lush, evergreen forest and the towering pine trees created a natural tunnel, casting dappled sunlight onto the road where the serenity of the surroundings was punctuated by the roar of Ferrari’s. The forest reveals its secrets as you pass idyllic villages with charming half-timbered houses and pristine lakes reflecting the verdant landscape.

After a day of exploration, we found ourselves arriving at the gorgeous Bareiss Hotel, nestled in the heart of the Black Forest. This luxurious but traditionally German retreat was a perfect contrast to the wilderness we travelled through, offering impeccable hospitality, Michelin-starred dining, and a serene spa.

Day 3 – We’re off to Spa!

We set off on our journey from the Black Forest to the refined beauty of La Butte aux Bois in Belgium, which was a journey that encapsulated the diversity of Europe's landscapes and cultures.

Upon reaching La Butte aux Bois in Belgium, nestled in the tranquil Limburg region, we found ourselves in an opulent hideaway. This distinguished hotel and spa offered a seamless blend of luxurious accommodations and Michelin-starred dining, providing the perfect destination to unwind and savor the flavors of both German and Belgian heritage.

Our clients were treated to an outstanding 10-course taster menu at the Ralf Berendsen restaurant, known for its exceptional Michelin-starred cuisine which offered an impeccable blend of innovation and tradition, where each dish was a work of art crafted with precision using locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant's elegant and intimate ambiance complimented the culinary experience and created a perfect setting for our guests to savor each bite in comfort.

Day 4 & 5 – Let’s Go Racing!

Our last two days were spent at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps Formula 1 circuit for the final of the Ferrari Challenge UK series. Our very own Dick Lovett driver, Robert Rees, was competing in the Coppa Shell cup and to add to the excitement of the weekend, took to the podium on both days!

This weekend was a true spectacle for motorsport enthusiasts and Ferrari fans. It showcases a stunning array of Ferrari cars, from classic models to the latest Prancing Horses. Our clients were able to revel in the heart-pounding action on the track whilst also enjoying the luxurious ambiance of the Ferrari paddock, with fine dining, exclusive events, and access to some of the most coveted cars in the world.
