Ferrari Tailor Made is a Maranello exclusive programme dedicated to clients who wish their car to be tailored to their individual needs, making it both unique and unmistakable, as well as a bold expression of their personality and taste.
The idea behind the ISPIRAZIONI collection is to present each new Ferrari model in a limited number of Tailor Made configurations, which have been created with the aim of highlighting and underlining the design of each new model. And, we are very lucky to have the Tailor Made ISPIRAZIONI Roma now for sale and in the showroom at Ferrari Swindon.
The solutions proposed were designed by a team of experts and designers involved in the cars’ development. Each design is characterised by a careful and refined combination of materials and colours, which show the essence and versatility of the model.
This week we’ve had an exciting new arrival to our Swindon dealership which is part of this special collection – a Tailor Made SF90 Spider inspired by the 1969 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2.
Revealed to the public for the first time at the Paris Auto Salon in 1967, the 365 GT 2+2 was the largest, most luxurious Ferrari ever produced at the time. In 1969, Road & Track dubbed it “The Queen Mother of Ferraris,” a name by which many Ferrari enthusiasts affectionately refer to it today.
There was a host of standard equipment that included power steering, power brakes, and a self-leveling suspension system, a first for Ferrari. Other Ferraris from the era came equipped with rear-mounted transaxles, however the 365 2+2 gearbox was mounted in unit with the engine sending power to a traditional rear differential.
Under the sleek hood is Ferrari’s powerful 4.4-liter V-12 topped with three twin-choke Weber carburetors producing 320 bhp, enough to propel this luxury GT to speeds in excess of 145 mph.
The SF90 Spider was introduced as the Prancing Horse's first series production PHEV spider, setting a new benchmark in terms of performance and innovation. The car inherits its outstanding design and record-breaking performance from the SF90 Stradale, successfully increasing the pleasure of driving and usage thanks to the RHT retractable hard top in its latest version, making it the perfect model to recreate the 365 GT.
This Tailor Made example has a range of truly special features, starting with its stunning Monte Carlo Blu exterior complimented by a sleek horizontal stripe across the front splitter. Secondly, the non-standard Connolly Luxan Grain heritage leather interior perfectly compliments the wooden detailing showcased on the steering wheel and side kick plates. Of course, it would not be a modernised Ferrari without a splash of carbon detailing, which is featured in the luggage compartment.
