A Celebration of Classiche

Preserve the Passion: Is your Ferrari eligible for certification?

A Celebration of Classiche

We were delighted to welcome a group of customers and their guests into the dealership to celebrate the heritage of Ferrari and how wonderful the classic models of our Prancing Horse family truly are. Our aim was to provide our lovely customers, who's Ferrari's are now eligible for Classiche, with in-depth information about the process for obtaining a Certification of Authenticity.

The Ferrari Classiche Certification process is a comprehensive program designed to authenticate and preserve the originality of classic Ferrari vehicles. Key concepts include:

1. Technical Examination: The process involves a detailed technical examination of the car's mechanical components to verify their originality.

2. Maintenance and Compliance: Correct maintenance and adherence to Ferrari's standards are crucial for performance, reliability, and safety. This is ensured through state-of-the-art maintenance at our workshop.

3. Authenticity Criteria: The car must be complete, functional, and meet specific authenticity criteria, including the chassis, engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes, wheels, bodywork, and interior.

4. Certification Process: The process includes checking registration in the factory database, completing certification request forms, and providing photos and reports.

5. Expert Evaluation: The car is presented to an expert committee for certification. This committee is chaired by Piero Ferrari and utilises a comprehensive archive of historical components and drawings.

6. Benefits: The Certificate of Authenticity protects the car's heritage, increases its sale value, and grants access to unique and exclusive Ferrari events.

The afternoon included a detailed presentation from our Service Manager, Amy Dilley and one of our Classiche Technician's, Jason Sek, about why the Classiche process is beneficial for you as a classic Ferrari owner. We were also joined by special guest, Tony Willis. Tony is a Ferrari Expert who was consulted for verifying certain matters related to Ferrari innovations and history. During his time at Maranello Concessionaires, his expertise and knowledge was valuable in providing accurate information for projects and publications about Ferrari's technical advancements.

We enjoyed providing our customers with a detailed tour of our magnificent workshop, and they were lucky enough to have a talk with one of our lovely Master Technicians, Gary Moore, who has been working hard on the complete restoration of a 308 GT4 Dino. The day finished off with some delicious pizza, bubbles and our customers got to go home with a Ferrari goody bag containing further details about how they begin their Classiche journey with us.
